Significance |
Use this protocol to detect and analyze data for Molecular Devices SpectraMax®Glo Steady Luc™ Reporter Assay. Firefly luciferase is commonly used as a reporter for gene regulation and function in a wide variety of research areas. The enzyme catalyzes conversion of D-luciferin to oxyluciferin, a reaction that requires ATP and oxygen and results in the emission of light centered at 560 nm. The SpectraMax®Glo Steady Luc™ Reporter Assay uses a proprietary formulation to modify the enzymatic reaction for a longer signal half-life of about 3 hours. |
