Spectradrop Abs DNA Quant (iD3-iD5)
|Protocol File||Spectradrop Abs DNA Quant (iD3-iD5).spr    |
THIS PROTOCOL IS FOR USE WITH SOFTMAX PRO 7.0.3 AND HIGHER.
Settings in this protocol have been revised to enable use of the SpectraDrop Micro-Volume Microplate with the SpectraMax iD3 and iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Readers.
Protocol Use - Quantitation
Use this protocol to quantitate DNA using Molecular Devices' SpectraDrop Micro-Volume Plate. For samples exceeding 1000 ng/uL, dilution of the sample may be required for accurate quantitation. Samples whose concentrations are calculated to be greater than 1000 ng/uL will be flagged as out of range ('R') in the group tables.
This protocol is set up to take readings at 260 nm, 280 nm, and 230 nm. The 260 nm reading is the only one required to quantitate DNA. The 280 nm and 230 nm readings are included for those who are accustomed to calculating 260:280 and 260:230 ratios for quality control purposes.
